As a Software Engineer, you will join a team that is responsible for defining and delivering the core suite of telemetry, observability, and automation capabilities to our most critical systems which are responsible for fueling the global economy.
  • You will drive the adoption of OpenTelemetry by application teams through creating patterns and tooling to ease their use.
  • You'll build a telemetry control plane that makes it easy to ingest, process, and route and distribute telemetry data.
  • You'll partner with senior architects to evaluate vendor tooling and further develop the monitoring and observability strategy across AWS and hybrid cloud applications.

Required Skills:
  • 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience with Golang. Equivalent experience in Java would also be considered.
  • Experience adopting and configuring application metrics, distributed tracing, and logging using CNCF technologies and standards (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, OpenTracing, etc.)
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and CloudFoundry
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, plus the ability to apply prior experience toward ill-defined problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some experience in scripting languages like Python/Groovy/Shell would be helpful
  • Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as Scrum / Agile, CI/CD , TDD, DevOps
